Game Art Style Analysis

Most video games have their own art style that have certain effects on the player.
Limbo is a side view plat-former game with a silhouetted art style. This gives a dark and eire atmosphere. This gives the player a sense of fear for they don't know what is coming. I feel that this is an interesting art style and that it fits in well with the game.

The Assassin's Creed series is a set of open world games with a photo-realistic art style. personally, I really like these games because the realistic textures adds to the immersion and to me, immersion is an important aspect in video games. The only down side of these games immersion-wise, would be that it is not in first person, however considering the makanics of them it's easy to over-look.
