Evaluation
For this assignment we where introduced to a game making program known as Construct 2 and used this program to create an educational game.
Through this assignment, I learned how to create a top view shooter game and a side view plat-former game using Construct 2.
I believe that using Construct is a very important skill to have with this course considering it is a course on how to make video games and Construct is a game making program.
I do believe that I worked really hard on this project, the teachers are really impressed with my idea, and even some of the other students have said to me; "your drawing skills have improved."
I am proud of how my game turned out and and my concept work on Photoshop is also really good.
Off the top of my head I can't think of anything that went wrong, or that I am not particularly proud of with my work. If I could go back and change anything I don't think I would.
The more time I spent testing the different parts of Construct, the more I learned about it. Whilst working on Construct I found it difficult to create a well working plat-former but thanks to some help from the teachers, and my own research I solved the issue of the rat falling on his back when you try to turn left and I also learned how to make a character wonder around and not just run straight to the player.
